Engineering Design Services – Advanced Piping Design, 3D Plant Modeling &
Multidisciplinary Plant Engineering for Chemical, Power, and Process Industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation and review of Piping GA Layouts, Isometrics, Support Drawings, and Fabrication Drawings.
- Develop and validate MTO/BOM, ensuring alignment with material specifications and project requirements.
- Design and develop piping systems using AutoCAD Plant 3D software.
- Perform advanced piping routing in Plant 3D and extract high-quality deliverables.
- Create 3D models related to Equipment, Piping, and Civil/Structures using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Interpret and integrate P&IDs, vendor data, equipment layout drawings, and process requirements into optimized piping designs.
- Identify clashes, design conflicts, accessibility, and maintainability issues through multidisciplinary coordination.
- Ensure compliance with ASME, ANSI, API standards, client specifications, and internal drafting standards.
- Lead 3D Model Review Meetings and support constructability discussions.
- Provide site support for routing feasibility, technical clarifications, and as-built updates.
- Mentor Draughtsman and Designer-I in design practices, software, standards, and quality control.
- Drive best practices, standardization, and continuous improvement in piping design workflows.
Key Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and Plant 3D.
- Strong understanding of piping materials, supports, stress requirements, and fabrication/erection constraints.
- Excellent knowledge of P&ID interpretation, equipment interfaces, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Advanced skills in MTO preparation, revision management, and quality assurance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage large-scale projects and deliver high-accuracy outputs.
- Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Familiarity with site challenges, constructability, and practical installation requirements.
